A Rare Growth Phase. Backed by Leadership That Gets It.
One of the UK’s most respected utilities providers is entering a significant phase of expansion — and they’re building out their Quantity Surveying team to match. With frameworks ramping up across energy, water, and infrastructure, the business is preparing for increased commercial demands and a higher bar for delivery.
We’re working directly with the Commercial Lead — a calm, principled leader who’s carved out a reputation for running high-performing teams with zero politics. His people rate him highly, and retention reflects that. This is someone you’ll want to work with, and more importantly, someone who’ll back you to grow.
The Work You’ll Step Into
You’ll join a commercial team that operates across live utility frameworks, covering:
- NEC3/4 contracts
- Cost forecasting and budget reporting
- Subcontractor packages and performance reviews
- Strategic input into delivery planning and financial governance
The work is structured, supported, and growing. There’s a clear need to strengthen the team across all levels — so whether you’re earlier in your QS journey or already managing commercial functions independently, there’s a defined path forward.
Why People Join (and Stay)
- The leadership is human. You’re not stepping into a machine — you’re stepping into a team where clarity, respect and performance are non-negotiable.
- The benefits are serious. Car allowance, annual bonus, and one of the best pension schemes in the sector.
- The runway is long. This isn’t stop-start project work. This is the kind of role you build a reputation from.
You’ll Fit Best If You…
- Have worked on infrastructure, utilities, or civils projects (but open to those from rail or highways too)
- Want a step up in structure, leadership, and financial ownership
- Appreciate working with people who care more about delivery than noise
- Value a workplace that’s calm, capable, and doesn’t reward politics
