A Tier 1 multi utilities contractor working across gas, water and power is hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on the water side of the business. They've scaled fast over the last few years, mostly through repeat work from clients who keep coming back and selective acquisitions, and they're now bringing more of the commercial function in house rather than passing it out.
You'd be running the commercial side of live projects, working directly with the Commercial Director, with real ownership over how things get done.
The travel side, up frontThis isn't a desk role. The office is in Eastbourne, but the work is on sites across the UK and the person they're hiring needs to be someone who actively prefers being out on the road rather than parked behind a screen.
If you're a QS who's quietly tired of office-bound roles and would rather be out where the projects actually are, this lands well. If you'd rather not move around much, it won't.
Eastbourne works as the base if you already live within commutable distance. If you don't, the travel pattern means it works either way for a lot of people. Worth a conversation before you rule it out on geography alone.

NEC funded. They're a 5% Club member and they back it up with a real development budget that doesn't require you to justify your existence to access.

They've made a point of not spraying it across the market because they want the right person in the right way, not whoever happens to be looking that week.
