The CLIC Charter: your ticket in
Membership begins with the Charter. This is more than a formality; it is the commitment that keeps the circle sharp, selective and safe.
Without the Charter, there is no CLIC.
Read and sign the Charter below, and let's open the door:
The Commercial Leadership Collective (CLIC)
Charter Agreement
1. Purpose
CLIC exists to raise standards in commercial leadership. It’s a peer-led, invite-only collective where leaders share challenges, ideas, and best practice openly. No sales. No recruiting. Just clear, honest conversations that help us all lead better.
2. Ethos
1. Straight talking: we value honesty over politeness. No spin, no waffle, just clear conversations that move us forward.
2. No sales. No recruiting: this is not a shop window.
3. Confidentiality is non-negotiable: what’s said here stays here. No screenshots. No leaks.
4. Respect in disagreement: debate hard. Don’t disrespect.
5. Contribute or step aside: this isn’t for passengers. Add value or move on.
6. Protect what’s shared: ideas remain the property of the sharer unless they give permission.
7. Three strikes: first breach = reminder. Second = warning. Third = out. Major breaches = instant removal.
8. Quality over quantity: curated groups. Smaller tables. Deeper conversations.
9. Raise the standard: members are expected to actively support the collective by sharing experience, ideas, and solutions that lift everyone.
3. Membership
· Invite only: every member is nominated and vetted.
· Leaders only: active commercial managers, directors, or equivalents.
· Founding members: hold shaping influence and priority access as the collective grows.
· Commitment: join in, contribute, and uphold the Charter.
4. Behaviour standards
· Zero tolerance for sales or recruiting.
· Confidentiality at all times. no screenshots, no forwarding.
· Respect and professionalism. Disagree without undermining.
· Contribution is expected. Members must raise the collective standard by sharing insight, experience, and solutions.
· Protect IP. Frameworks, insights, and documents remain the property of the sharer. Permission required for external use.
· No competitive undercutting. Information gained in CLIC is not to be used to disadvantage fellow members.
5. Structure
· Roundtables & events: invite-only sessions with small groups to ensure depth.
· Sub-groups: sector or theme-specific spaces (Build, Civils, M&E, Contract Talk).
· WhatsApp community: for real-time peer-to-peer discussions and quick wins.
6. Enforcement: three-strike policy
· Strike one: reminder of the Charter.
· Strike two: formal warning.
· Strike three: removal from CLIC.
· Serious breach: the Founding Team reserves the right to bypass the strike system for major violations (sales activity, IP theft, confidentiality breaches, competitive misuse).
· Final authority: the Founding Team has final discretion on membership, enforcement, and group structure.
7. Commitment
By joining CLIC, members agree to:
· Uphold the ethos.
· Actively raise the standard of the collective.
· Contribute with honesty and integrity.
· Protect confidentiality and intellectual property.
· Respect the three-strike policy.
